EXOPHTHALMOS of EMOTION
I don’t know what is next
as I have ground down to a halt;
the grind grinded
and the grind has won-
exhausted from snubbings
(don’t begin to even think you know!)
The reached out arms
fatigued/dead weights
collapsed at my side
the unknowns/unanswereds
too much for me today/s.
Onerous –
to believe in or faith that
I shall bounce back or rise again;
it gets fucking tiring;
a devitalized state of now.
When it’s no longer believed
that one thing does lead to the next
that the work will speak for itself
that all the effort comes around

If you’ve truly created an innovative work, it’s likely to alienate as many people as it attracts.
The best art divides the audience. If everyone likes it, you probably haven’t gone far enough.
The more formulaic the creation is, the more popular it might be, but the less like art it surely will be; a great dullness in sameness.
It is interpreted/reinterpreted by the eyes/ears of those who know pretty much nothing about me.
It serves a purpose with the work being taken seriously, but not always needing to do it in a serious way; a mere reflection of who I am in a given moment.
A pure creative intent.

Touch the ecstatic-
the hand of the unknown;

It’s baffling
yet easily understood

Hours on foot

spring’s air carried
daffodils aplenty
with the absence of much
I have plenty here

which I do

under the blue sky
beneath that infrequent sun
past experiences
already existed
