Home Actress Adrienne C. Moore HD Photos and Wallpapers May 2023 Adrienne C. Moore Instagram - #BTS Art is life. Life is art. Hope you've had time to process the latest episode of @prettyhardcases. This was a tough, but important story to tell. Thank you @robinalordstafford for writing such a powerful and moving piece and @worldwidewinnie for directing it so thoughtfully. I discussed with the writers the importance of holding our police force accountable for their actions and not just the good ones. In this episode (S.3 Ep.6; Spin Me Around), Kelly has an altercation with cops that shakes her to the core. While this was only a moment I played on television, I know it is often an unfortunate reality experienced by many Black people. It's important to tell this truth. When costume designer @lifeofmanek and I discussed Kelly's wardrobe for this episode, I wanted to be clear on where I stood on the issue. We landed on RESILIENT. Additionally, this piece made me think of my ancestors and the many times they'd suffered at the hands of police brutality. I remember my father telling me stories as a child of him marching for justice or being arrested while staging sit-ins at the diners as a young college student. Yes, my parents were active members of the Freedom Fighters movement at their alma mater of FISK UNIVERSITY. I wanted to honor their sacrifice, their presence in my life and the feeling that they always got my back. Thank you @daniellawilliamsart who drew these pictures of my father's hand (holding my nephew's foot) and grandmother from photos I'd given her. You honored them beautifully. It was important to @b.darenherbert to tell the story of how a black man can comfort and protect his woman. So often black men are ridiculed for not protecting their black women, but it was important to show that there are men out there, that do. And finally to all the women who joined us for the BLACK SISTAH CIRCLE scene. You all were magnificent! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You all were #blackgirlmagic PERSONIFIED. I didn't get everyone's name/IG, but those that I did, I wanted to thank you for coming and being a part of telling such a necessary story.
