Dolly Alderton Instagram – One of my favourite writers has died. Nearly all my favourite writers have died, which is not something you think about when you think about what it will be like to get older. I wish you could go see them perform live when they get past the age of 70, like you can with your favourite rockstars. I’m away at the moment so I can’t go to the folded pages of all my copies of his books. Here’s one I took a photo of from Inside Story, his last. It was complicated and self-conscious and overwrought but it blew me away, which feels like a fitting way to remember him.
