The chapters alternate between a young girl called Amber re-telling her āchildhoodā at Black Rabbit Hall & our protagonist Lorna (early 30ās) who is staying in the house š” while she trials out the ābridal suite.ā There is a surprising coming-of-age feel to it; but with the sudden death of Amberās mother & later her baby brother, her teen years go dark quicklyā¦

Unprecedented twists & turns, skeletons in the closet & somewhere something raw (or rotting?) to be exposed.

Well developed characters of various ages & spectacular writing – poetic yet linear.
