Turns out, @exxonmobil has been hiding the truth about climate change for over 50 years. And here we were thinking they were just too busy counting their billions… 💵 💵 💵
We’re joined by @natkelley, playing the role of an Exxon Mobil climate scientist 👩🏻🔬. Spoiler alert: her character is not a fan of the oil giant’s shady tactics.
And if you’re tempted to take some of Exxon’s climate denial pills 💊, be warned: side effects may include losing all credibility, irreparable bad karma, and the end of the world. So, maybe stick to regular vitamins instead.
Let’s all raise a glass of clean water to Exxon Mobil’s decades-long deception finally being exposed. Cheers to the truth finally coming out! 🥂

The Most Important Job In The World: At a time when our planet is experiencing unprecedented species loss – is there a more important job than being a Guardian of Biodiversity? Indigenous people are our first line of defense against the extractive industries that are destroying biodiversity in Brazil and other parts of the Amazon. They are also the co-creators of biodiversity on this continent, as a result of their thousands of years of careful land management. The fight for Demarçao is crucial to ensure these communities can continue to do their extremely vital work. With species loss between 1000-10000 times higher than thee natural rate, protecting our forests, rivers, animals, trees and fungi – is indeed the most important job in the world. Music: Águas Da Amazonia, Philip Glass Uakti. And thank you to @zenarede , @rauldelima , @_leniseoliveira for some of the beautiful photos
I’m in Brasilia at the 19th annual Acampamento Terra Livre, the largest Indigenous gathering in Brazil. The main demand is “Demarcação” or Land Back! Aside from their legitimate claim to their territories as The Original Peoples of this country, there is a strong ecological argument for their land rights too. Everywhere that Indigenous people have had their territories formally recognized – there is higher biodiversity and higher rates of reforestation. Sadly their very existence and ways of life are being threatened by extractive industries like mining, agro-business which both cause deforestation and contamination of their rivers. @midiaindigenaoficial are the first Indigenous led media collective in the country, and are covering this event on the ground. Their work is a crucial part of the movement. PLEASE consider donating via the link in my bio to support these wonderful and dedicated Indigenous story-tellers. Even a little goes a long way here. Thank you in advance for your support. 💪🏽 SEM DEMARCAÇÃO NO HÁ DEMOCRACIA! 🎥 thank you to @levitapuia for helping me film 🙏🏽
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, regenerative, organic…. At the end of the day which is the criteria for eating that is best for people and the planet? LOCAL! Local means DIVERSIFIED, this is a system that promotes biodiversity, respect for animals and honors farmers. Building resilient local food systems will be critical in the years to come. Not just for our survival but as part of this David and Goliath fight against the globalized monopolies that control what we eat and are making us and the ecosystem SICK! Want to learn more about how we can make this a real possibility? Join @helenanorberghodge and myself at the Planet Local Summit, online or in person this September. In every corner of our world, before our time, our Indigenous ancestors touched the earth in ways that sprouted beautiful Edens, full of food, in reciprocity with life… I’m honored to support @kisstheground in the launch of “Possibilities of Regeneration,” a story about how we, as humans, innately have the power to regenerate our earth. Created by Kiss the Ground, and co-written and narrated by Indigenous scholar and activist Lyla June Johnston (@lylajune), this profound animated short is now available at kisstheground.com.
🌿 I think this is one of the most beautiful, truthful and necessary stories that will ever grace your screens… @lylajune I can feel thousands of years of ancestral wisdom being channeled as you speak. Any talk of healing self/ soil/ planet that does not center Indigenous people as the original protagonists of REGENERATION falls short. But to tell that story in a way that inspires and doesn’t alienate is not easy… yet this incredible team have somehow pulled it off spectacularly. I encourage you to watch the whole story via the link on my profile .

In case you were wondering about my Origin Story: I was raised in Australia by Trevor Kelley, a brilliant mathematician – slightly on the spectrum – climate change denying atheist. And I couldn’t be more grateful that he taught me to memorize quadratic equations while in kindergarten and put Romeo and Juliet A Brave New World on my reading list before I reached highschool. His newly diagnosed autism now explains for his embarrassing poltical incorrectness my whole childhood and is probably the reason why I grew up to be such a good little “Woke Liberal.” Which I know is his way of saying he loves me. ❤️Thanks for being such a good sport Dad, and allowing me to write and film this script based on our real life conversations / arguments. We all have a Climate Change Skeptic in our lives and at times feel frustrated or confused about the best way to deal with them. This video is for you!
Today @cuyana is launching the world’s first true zero-impact collection—Made With Air. If this achievement sounds surreal to you, that’s because it is. Cuyana launched an April Fools campaign to highlight the perils of false advertising. In the next four weeks, Earth month, and for as long as “sustainability” is a key trend, you will be inundated with false or embellished environmental marketing, aka “greenwashing”. Cuyana wants you to be wary of these faulty claims, as do we. Remember, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
There is far too much work to be done to also combat one another on our authenticity. We invite you instead to help us shift the conversation from “sustainability” to impact reduction. Let’s applaud progress and make better consumer choices. After all, sustainability is a journey, not a destination.

The climate crisis is no joke but sometimes you have to laugh… I had so much fun bringing this @riise.world production to life, playing Annika, the head of PR for the fictional oil company Oilshore. Thank you to @heydonprowse who wrote this scene – inspired by all the fossil fuel lobbyists at COP clinking champagne in their designer clothes while our world burns… it was a true study in the mindset of those who work for the fossil fuel industry. People driven by profit, with some even convincing themselves that they are doing a service to humanity! I have to laugh, otherwise I’ll cry. You can see the two brilliant scenes in the link in my bio. Please support and share and help us get this show made 🫶🏽
3 generations of Quechua 👸🏽 This year we will be celebrating my grandmothers 100th birthday! Giving thanks for all the love, joy and laughter 💕 so grateful my Mamita’s memory and humor are still sharp. She walks without a cane or wheelchair. Her health is a reflection of my mothers love and dedication. Gratitude upon gratitude for this time together 💕

My forever muse 🌹 As the youngest daughter of 9 children my mother learned to sew from her older sisters who didn’t let the lack of money stop them from taking immense pride in their clothes and appearance. They used to buy fabrics (dead stock) at the market in Lima, Peru and make their clothes using patterns from European magazines. It was my mother who taught me to always look for natural fibers and warned me against synthetics. She would make entire outfits for me when I was younger and even now as an adult I marvel at the level of care and attention she puts into mending the clothes I bring home once a year – a sign of the enormous respect she has for each garment, and the resources used to make them. Even my little artisan woven pouches (my addiction) that have fallen apart have their lives extended by her skillful touch and creativity. As I finish up an advance copy of @mrspress’s fantastic new book “Wear Next” – I am moved to tears by the chapter on Repairing… I feel hopeful that the future of fashion could be a world in which women like my mother are celebrated as the true heroes of “fashion.” Resourceful, clever, skilled, admirers and preservers of beauty. Thank you Rosita for all you have taught me (and all the clothes you have saved from the donation bin) te quiero 💕 also how cute is my little brother in this photo.. my mother would make his little shirts and pajamas too!
