കഴിഞ്ഞ നാലഞ്ചു വർഷമായുള്ള , കൃത്യമായി പറഞ്ഞാൽ , പ്രളയത്തിനു ശേഷം ഉളള , എന്റെ ഗവേഷണത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കൂച്ചിപ്പൂടി ശൈലിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു dance production ആണ് മോൺസൂൺ അനുരാഗ . മഴ ആണ് വിഷയം! ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രീയ നൃത്തം അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കലാകാരി എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഈ വിഷയത്തെ സമൂഹത്തോട് എങ്ങിനെ സംസാരിക്കാം, സംവദിക്കാം എന്ന ചിന്തയിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ നാട്യത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവം .
ഒറ്റക്കായുള്ള അവതരണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് തുടങ്ങി, 3 പേരായും , 6 പേരായും , 10 പേരായും എല്ലാം ഈ നൃത്ത , നൃത്ത്യ, നാട്യാവിഷ്ക്കാരം പല വേദികളിലും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഉളള ഒരു ആശയത്തിനെ എങ്ങനെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാം എന്നത് ഒരു സംവിധായിക എന്ന രീതിയിലും, കോറിയോഗ്രാഫർ എന്ന രീതിയിലും, അദ്ധ്യാപിക എന്ന രീതിയിലും, പെർഫോർമർ എന്ന രീതിയിലും എനിക്ക് ഒരേ സമയം കൗതുകവും സാഹസികവും ആയിരുന്നു . കൂച്ചിപൂടിയുടെ പാരമ്പര്യം നിലനിർത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു എപ്രകാരം ഈ അവതരണത്തെ വ്യത്യസ്തമാക്കാം എന്നത് ഞാൻ സ്വമേധയാ എന്നോട് തന്നെ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത വെല്ലുവിളി ആയിരുന്നു. ആ വെല്ലുവിളിക്കൊപ്പം കൂടെ നിന്നവർക്കും കൂടെ നിക്കാതിരുന്നവർക്കും സ്നേഹം, നന്ദി .
ഇന്ന് മോൺസൂൺ അനുരാഗ പല വേദികളിലായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ, സഹൃദയർ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നത് കാണുമ്പോൾ , കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ … നാട്യാചാര്യന്മാരും , നൃത്ത ഗവേഷകരും, ക്രിട്ടിക്കുകളും പ്രശംസിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാനെന്ന നർത്തകിയുടെ മനസ്സ് ദ്രുതതാളത്തിൽ വിസ്മയ ഭാവത്തിന്റെ സഞ്ചാരികളെ സ്വയം ആസ്വദിക്കുകയാണ് .
