Come join us for a scrumptious lunch today! We are enjoying some very authentic delicious home-cooked food of Siliguri in North Bengal at my dear friend Soumyajit aka @zerowattfilms home. Agar aap accha aur Ghar ke khane ke shaukeen hain toh yakeen maniye aapko bada mazaa aane wala hai.
Aapne teekhi mirchi toh khayi hogi lekin yaha gazab ka teekha mirch milta hai, kabhi North Bengal aayen toh try jarur kijiyega.
A hearty meal of Chingri dipped in a tasty sauce followed by a unique flavour of fish that’s very light on the stomach and heart along with Jhol made of ‘Tok Pui Saag’ which is only found in North Bengal. Kuch beyhadh lazeez handi mutton ka luft uthayenge jiske flavour aur taste ko agar ek word mein describe karu toh bilkul “uncle” hai dost! Iss purey meal ki khaas baat hai uski saadgi aur swad.
Gazab ka zone aur ussey bhi lajaawb khaana bole toh mamala ‘Zone’ mein hai. It is pure love and warmth that Soumyajit and I feel as we enjoy the wholesome meal lovingly being served and surrounded by family members.

This is going to be the most amazing 26 Hours in Siliguri.
As a travel vlogger, I get to plan my next travel adventures but sometimes you have to be open to change of plans. Today a very dear friend Soumyajit aka @zerowattfilms is taking all of us on an adventure in the beautiful city of Northeast Indian State, West Bengal….. and he is not alone.
An impromptu conversation with Soumyajit culminated in bringing some of the amazing Youtuber Creators: Tuli, Rohan, Shubhankar and many others to join us in this Siliguri Food and Travel Series.
Today’s episode is packed with some incredible food and unique experiences starting with having “Red Tea or Lal Chai” that’s been served since 1988 on the Football field of North Bengal University as some students join us, singing Bengali melodies.
The food hunt continues till we discover the most incredible experience at one of the oldest eateries of Siliguri: Netaji Cabin. (You have to watch the vlog to find out why!)
Next making our way through the narrow alleys of the famous market of Siliguri called the Hong Kong Market we reach Momo Gully where we had to devour some scrumptious piping hot momo (Pstt.. I’ll also show you the best way to eat momo).
