Augustus Prew Instagram – @thisisabouthumanity is an INCREDIBLE charitable organization that runs several shelters and provides food for 2500+ people seeking asylum to the US EVERYDAY. I went on my first volunteer day with @elsamariecollins and @yscalibaja back in 2018 and today got back on one of their volunteer buses to help out again with cleaning, cooking, clearing old and building new tents for families at the shelter and just generally trying to bring joy to vulnerable and resilient people in really tough situations. So many stories today of people fleeing war, sex trafficking and organised crime. Heartbreaking and terrifying, BUT the strength of the families and their hope was so inspiring.
