Aurélien Predal Instagram – More of Miguel VS Miles – Vertical Train sequence lighting keys for #spidermanacrossthespiderverse !
Most of the lighting keys are painted over the CG layout/previs shots so at that stage the characters are in temporary poses and have no expressions yet! By the time those shots got animated I already painted the sequence- Looking back at those I wish I had been more proactive and at least open Miguel’s mouth to make the overall images less stiff looking! 😅
In those keys I also had to explore the look of the under-layers of Miguel’ suit when it gets damaged. We eventually went for a webbing with kind of colourful old tv noise artefacts which works great in the final movie shots!
