We had a blast making Indian Roti together. Eitan just got back from a trip to Bihar, India where he met wheat farmers whose yields have been dramatically increased thanks to new early sowing technologies. He also met with women from “Didi Ki Rasoi” community canteens who graciously shared their expertise in making the perfect roti.
It was great getting to know some of the UK’s leading clean tech entrepreneurs with Prime Minister @rishisunakmp. Launching Cleantech for UK with Breakthrough Energy makes me optimistic about the future.
I am very excited to be back in Nigeria. This is my first trip in five years and so much has changed.
What a great meeting with @albomp. Thanks for the thoughtful discussion about climate, energy, and health. Australia plays a big role in building a safer and healthier world. And of course, it was lovely meeting Toto.
I had a great time making Indian Roti with one of my favorite chefs, @eitan.
Have you ever visited a place you haven’t been in a while, and it somehow manages to feel both new and familiar? That’s how I feel every time I go back to Nigeria.

Not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my dad. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads making lasting memories with their kids.
My experience learning from Mary Mathuli, a smallholder farmer in rural Kenya, taught me a couple important lessons. First, my farming skills — like holding a chicken and swinging a hoe — need some work. Second, and more importantly, I got a personal reminder of how resourceful and resilient African smallholder farmers like Mary are. Battered by years of drought and other extreme weather patterns, they are developing new skills and embracing new technologies to adapt to some of the toughest conditions for growing crops and raising livestock.

Here’s a window into one of climate change’s more obscure challenges. I’m hopeful that adaptation solutions will help us remove emissions from all existing buildings.
It was an honor meeting these soccer legends and kicking around ideas about preventing pandemics.
Health care tools we take for granted in the US—like ultrasound machines—aren’t always accessible in low- and middle-income countries. These new tools could help save mothers and children around the world.
I stopped at Mary Mathuli’s home in Makueni County during my recent trip to Kenya. Mary led me out to her fields to show off the innovations that are allowing her to continue to grow crops and support her family, despite the drastic changes in rainfall and weather patterns as a result of climate change.
