I never imagined I would ever play the iconic character from the Journey to the West story that I grew up reading about and watching on tv and in movies. I am really excited to be playing a different version on The Monkey King as in American Born Chinese he is an older man and father who not only has the responsibility of maintaining peace in heaven but he also has to figure out how to be a father to his young son. About last night…what an honor it was to screen American Born Chinese at the White House last night celebrating Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month! It was a pretty surreal event as I got to shake POUTUS’s hand and have a brief chat with him. I have met Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton before but this was the first standing president that I have met!

What can we say about our last test at @buttonwillowraceway It was a hot one, and felt like we jumped straight into summer! There is always something that just feels right in doing some pre season testing there though!
Our @adess_ag ran strong for two straight days, and it was awesome for @thatdanielwu @tottisracing and @w1llizm to get significant laps in! @efm.racing and @wrteknica helped us make the car feel more and more confident. I think I speak for all of us when I say we can’t wait to race this thing!!
