There are too many people that cheered me up, pushed me on, gave their time, shared their patience, shook their heads, and above all, kept my eyes forward over the past five years to thank. Many of them are mentioned in past posts. I share this great release day with family, friends, fans, my two producers, and beloved cast and crew. I know horror isn’t why many of you are following here. Thank you for hanging around anyway, and watching the circus. I urge all of you to find and be your complete selves. None of us are one thing. I hope you saw that here. It was scary making this movie which is why I did it. I will make more. But for anyone out there who can’t sleep because they want something so badly, you’re not alone and you can do it. Never be afraid to climb the mountain.

I’m shamefully late on thanking @nickkroll @ikebarinholtz and @iamwandasykes on fulfilling a lifelong dream of being somehow in the orbit of comedy legend, Mel Brooks. In particular, HOTW Pt 1 (1981), which fortified my love for sketch and supplied endless re-enactments and line quoting during lunch at Margate Middle school. Like so many of the rest of this amazing cast, it’s hard to explain how much Mel shaped, fueled, and expanded our humor. He was the Big Bang of film comedy for me. To be able share this once-in-a-lifetime guest spot with fellow Mel addicts @davidwain and @kenmarino and the wonderful @jillianbell is icing on the cake. Thank you Mr. Brooks. It’s good to be near the king.

We’re close to announcing exciting news about @outpost_the_film. Meanwhile, some BTS from July 2021. Here’s @officialbethdover for the first time up on Sundance tower. This is our load-in day, which is when the equipment arrives & prepped for first day of shooting (next morning). It’s pretty windy. You could feel the tower sway slightly. We shot 8 out of our 16 days up here, at 6300 ft. Impossible without a gang of warriors. Forever grateful. More to come. Very very soon.
👉COMING MAY 19th 👈 from @GravitasVentures On Demand and in Limited Theaters! 🌲There are a tremendous amount of people to thank for this release. Shooting this movie almost two years ago remains one of the best experiences of my life. The cast & crew are top notch, our gracious hosts in Priest Lake were a dream, my family and friends never doubted the past 5 years of our commitment. It’s not easy to make a movie, but it’s even harder to get it seen. I’ve peeked behind the curtain and still can’t believe any indie movie ever sees the light of day. I’d like to thank Alan, Paul, Greg, and Ian at @frightfestuk who gave us our only festival home. I won’t forget that, trust me. The fans in the UK (and fellow filmmakers @soskasisters !) were dynamite. We hope to be releasing there this year. @philnobilejr and @fangoria gave us incredible support, even before production started. @jedshepherd and @kimmikillzombie helped introduce me to the larger horror fanbase, who I know are only beginning to show the world how transformative this genre can be. And, of course, Gravitas, who gave us a chance, and allowed the work of so many super-talented people to finally be seen. I share this big moment with them. Thank you. And I hope some of you comedy fans out there roll the dice anyway and check it out! I’m not done with the funnies, don’t worry. 😃

In 2014, my friends, Dad, and brother went to Ireland. In Donegal, we descended on a pub and rubbed elbows with the kindest, warmest, most charming bunch of locals who with we quickly sloshed Guinness and Jameson’s. After enjoying the local musicians playing their guitars, Boehm flutes, and Bodhrán (green sweater guy’s drum), my friend Entcho, a Romanian virtuoso, asked to play a song on his violin. He told the group he’d start with a traditional Romanian piece but they’d know exactly when to join. And as you hear, they did, and the spirit of the room lifted all of us. I wish I could fit Entcho’s longer intro because the turn to the Irish jig is that much more exciting, but you get the jist. I miss Ireland dearly and can’t wait to get back. Despite my last name, I’m a proud dual citizen and love love love the people over there. The craic is unparalleled. Happy St. Patrick’s everyone. ☘️☘️☘️🇮🇪☘️☘️☘️🥃☘️☘️☘️🇮🇪☘️☘️
