Telling a story without saying a word requires giving everything you are to a moment in time that will never come again. It can be scary, but the idea that every performance allows you the opportunity to go and grow deeper and deeper is, for me, one of the most thrilling parts of being an artist. Pouring your whole self, mind, body, and soul, into a moment of movement in hopes of giving the audience the gift of an experience that could positively enhance or impact their life is a sacred art.
I am so grateful for the opportunity I was given in this film and for the universal language we call dance. Sending love and respect to all my fellow artists around the world who sacrifice so much of themselves and their lives day in and day out, in the hope of inspiring others through art. I see you. I feel you. I love you. Keep dancing.
