Thank you @the_brianmichael and @lexususa for the invitation, and for ensuring that more trans people were in attendance, as only a very select few are invited, let alone honored at events like these. @hrcpresident I was hanging on to every word. You see a world where no one is left behind through a cross-cultural, intersectional lens, which is so very important, especially at this time, as we are under direct and vicious attack. All of us have a special role to play on this journey towards equity and inclusion for all.

I began boxing when I was 3, playing baseball when I was 5, and playing basketball when I was 6. There was nothing I loved more. Basketball was my favorite, and at one point it was my entire life. It helped me block out the world and its problems and focus on the task at hand. It helped me make life long friends. I am thankful that those friends were there for me at one of the hardest times in my life. They encouraged me to stay on top of my game both on the court and academically. My nickname was Skywalker. Happy to say I still got bunnies 🐰. I was excited to still be able to get up after almost 10 years of not playing, but my KNEES 😭 well they aren’t too happy at the moment lol
So, I got this tiny mic and decided to interview Baba. She wasn’t very responsive but isn’t she CUTE 🥰

Found these videos from late last year. I can’t wait to get back. @adelkyokushin at @humblewarriorgym was turning ya boy into a machine!! I had been nursing a few injuries, and he was teaching me to be patient, less tense, to slow down and to control my speed and power (I need to do that when playing basketball 😅). In the ring you can see how I struggled to slow down, so Adel made sure to tell me to relax often, and slowed the combinations down, despite me wanting faster, longer more complex combinations. He focused on precision and timing. Miss ya brother.

She is safe now, and it’s going to be really hard not to spoil her rotten. Although, I fear it may be too late lol. Shout out to @ariscestocrat for making it happen and @the_brianmichael for the vet recommendation. She has a clean bill of health. 💫 #rescuedog
