( Nobody in the world has this track record) Climbing 8000ers is no joke. Climbing #Everest is a challenge, and one that can change in an instant – hence you need the best team by your side- able to manage those slight changes on the mountain. All the little things can add up to big things – that’s where my years of experience and UKSF training comes into play as exped leader – I can see all these things and manage the best outcome.   When everything is going well and working together, it can feel like climbing Everest is easy. But the thing people don’t realise is that things can change suddenly and if something goes wrong, it can be fatal. The margin between having everything going perfectly and becoming absolutely fatal is very thin.   Being a successful exped leader with O fatalities under your belt is a tough one– it’s not easy. You have to be fair, harsh and really honest. When I make decisions on the mountain, I purely base my decisions on safety and making sure I keep that client alive. My most important job is the safety of my clients and Sherpas.   My main priority is always my team and clients. I have many DMs asking for our help with other team rescues.
