⚠️ Warning: Sensitive Content ⚠️ This 82-year-old revision rhinoplasty patient of mine had one of the most mystifying cases I can remember. After she received a rhinoplasty in Brazil, she wasn’t happy with her appearance and experienced serious complications. She had an excessive amount of filler throughout her face and there was an unknown substance in her glabella and upper nasal bridge. She also had an implant in her nose that became stuck to her skin, which made this an extremely risky case! Even though there was an increased risk to remove it, she wanted to go for it as it caused her chronic pain. Watch the video to see how I was able to perform one of my most complex surgeries yet! This patient came to me for her third revision rhinoplasty! You can clearly see that she has a deviated septum, but she also has a deviated graft, which is a piece of rib that has actually become warped. We’d call this a #Botched nose, so I had to re-do basically everything. I fixed the tip of her nose by performing my signature Celestial Rhinoplasty™, then I used a DCGG to rebuild it. We also straightened her nose, made it more symmetrical and opened her airway! She’s already about 90-95% improved; both her and I are extremely happy with her much “cuter” nose! This 64-year-old female patient had three previous rhinoplasties before she came to me. After her previous rhinoplasties, she was still unhappy with the bulge and widening of her nasal tip. We performed a revision rhinoplasty and septoplasty (removal of cartilage) to help her achieve her goals. These results are directly after the surgery, so her results will continue to improve over time! Note: We had to use cadaver rib to create the DCGG (diced cartilage glue graft) & dorsal onlay graft as her CT scan showed that she had significant calcified cartilage, which means we were not able to use her cartilage for the surgery, as it was essentially like bone.
