This is the 1 question I wish I would have asked myself in college, in thinking about my career/life: If you imagine yourself sitting at dinner with 20-30 people, who do you want to be in a room, conversing with? Do you want to be surrounded by scientists, influencers, computer engineers, etc? (Side note: this question gives you way more insight as opposed to “what do you want to do?”)
I want to be in a room full of 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒 journalists, writers, artists, actors, designers, filmmakers, etc.) People who start conversations. People with strong points of view. People whose medium, whatever it may be, focuses our attention. People who dig into the hearts, souls, and stories of others; and hold a mirror up to our culture, asking what is working for us + what we can work to change.
Those are my people. Some of those people are at @tribeca. Needless to say, I like it there 😊.
