How many times have we found ourselves saying this?
We ask this question with hands raised in the air so many times in a day.
We doubt. We question. We overthink.
And then we do it as if it’s a natural reflex, even though we’re convinced maybe we’re doing it awkward or not right.
But we dig deep. We figure it out, and we persevere because that’s what humans do.
It’s survival.
So, those out there doubting the season of motherhood you’re in—𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯.
Because when it comes to our children, mothers always will,
because we have to,
because we have no other choice.
Think about it,
when we’re in over our heads with a crying newborn up every two to three hours, so exhausted that we need more than a good night’s sleep to catch up, we manage to get up anyway, and we get through. It doesn’t matter how sore our bodies feel or how we have no idea what we’re doing. And we feed and love on that baby — 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
When we’re depressed and our brain feels foggy, we still manage to get out of bed and do all the things. We get everyone fed and clothed. We bring everyone to where they’re supposed to be. Even though all we want is sleep and whatever brings us comfort—𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
When our kids are not listening to us at all, when we’re convinced we’re the worst parents, and when we feel like we can’t do any of it anymore — 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
So when you’re sitting there questioning, “How am I going to do this?”
Know time and time again has proven, you can and you will.
Because every hard season comes and then goes. And we rise through the hard.
Mothers always persevere,
because with our kids as motivation, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.
