Jess Bush Instagram – Hey friends, a lot of you are new here. Right before I was cast as Nurse Chapel and catapulted across the galaxy, I spent a year building an installation (with the help of a lot of wonderful mates) that came from the deepest places of me and remains sitting very close to my heart. The Bee Totem was only able to be shared in the flesh for one night to a sold out house in Australia. @darkcinema designed light projections, and @_caleb_jacobs_ designed an ethereal soundscape to fill the environment. After that one night, I had to pack everything up and mobilise my whole life for the wild, expansive adventure of entering the Star Trek Family, and all the incredible experiences, all around the world, that have come with that.
So many of the experiences I’ve had while travelling have brought me to my knees with appreciation for being alive on this perfect little planet and what it provides for us.
I can’t wait for the time and place that’ll be perfect to share her again when life allows – it feels more pertinent than ever. Til then, here’s a clip of how it was made at @createordie with the help of the @innerwestcouncil
