This is the wonderfully exuberant Madame Medusa from the Rescuers. First is the pencil test at normal speed (24 frames per second) then the second is slow motion so you can dribble watching his genius. Look at the detail in the movement and the fantastic observation. Before the great Richard Williams sadly died I was lucky enough to spent time with him in his studio analysing many of Milt Kahl’s pencil tests in slow motion. He had many photocopied scenes of some of Milt’s greatest work. He was Richard’s hero. Before the college students played we were treated to a youth jazz group who were really young but did great improvisation under the guidance of talented @siobhanellenwaters, one of the students. 1 This is a young girl who’s saxophone was almost bigger than her. Everyone loved her – 💪🏽 so brave. 2. A young boy doing great improvisation. 3. Super duper Double Bass player @josh_.sharp looking to the heavens. 4. @tobykearns2345312 blowing his own trumpet….spectacularly. 5. Master drummer George Povey tickling his drums with the sticks. 6. Amazing Saxophonist @alexandrevincent14 gives his all. 7. Trumpeting star – the cool @llewellynhuw 8. Spectacular pianist Evan Williams.
