Karla Souza Instagram – I’m super excited to have worked on “Elefanta, Que ninguna se quede balanceándose sola”. The project is all about the traditional Latin American song “Un Elefante Se Balanceaba,” which parents and schools often use to help kids learn to count. It’s about an elephant jumping on a spider web and realizing it can hold its weight, so it invites more elephants to join in.
The Latinx community grew up with this song – it’s a classic that’s been passed down for generations. But there’s a deeper meaning to it too. The Latinx House realized that the song has a message about collaboration and building together, that’s really important to our community.
