Back in the city 🏙️🚖
@kateupton is killing it! Rear foot elevated split squats are probably the most hated exercise in existence because they’re so hard. The only thing worse is rear foot elevated split squats holding two heavy kettlebells in the front-rack position. But the hard exercises you hate doing are generally the ones that work the best, so we’ve been doing them almost every week for the last year. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.
Kate is making 50 pounds look easy, but anyone who has ever tried this knows it’s NOT easy. She’s found “the secret” in the gym: consistent hard work over time. I love it.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there… but especially this man right here! I love watching you be the most incredible #GirlDad… Vivi and I are so lucky to have you @justinverlander. ❤️
Table for two please.
I always preach progressive overload to my clients and urge them to gradually bump the weight up over time. I’d say @kateupton nailed it. Her daughter is growing quickly though, so this could get really tough in a few years ❤️😂
A Florida rendezvous with Bailey ✨

This nifty exercise truly works the entire back side of the body, all with very little stress on the joints. We’ve been doing it for 10+ years without knowing what to call it, so whoever comes up with the best name in the comments wins a prize. @kateupton makes it look easy, but trust me—it’s a toughie.
From an upper body standpoint, it starts off as a pull-up but turns into an inverted row at the top. From a lower body standpoint, it starts off as a leg curl but turns into a hip thrust at the top. So, a whole lotta good things happening here. Plus it gets the heart rate up like crazy, too.
First give us a name for the exercise so I don’t have to keep referring to it as the “pull-up mega hip thrust thingy,” and then give it a try because I think you’ll really like it.
