“My first memory of loving a saree and its beauty is definitely my mother’s saree. I vividly remember her draping a traditional south indian silk saree with a handcrafted gold border. She looked absolutely stunning in the saree paired with gold jhumkas, a gold necklace, beautiful bangles, fresh mallige flowers wrapped around her bun and a simple bindi.
She walked into the kitchen to prepare a meal for the family and that was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. I cherish that memory till date, still wondering if I could look that beautiful in a saree.
