Well, today took me by surprise…! 5 years ago, I found out about a local charity that tackles child sexual exploitation, Safe & Sound @safesoundgroup . After working on BBC drama Three Girls, I found myself having lots of conversations about CSE – it’s so valuable to be able to point people towards an incredible organisation that provides tailored, practical support (as well as all their great preventative work). It’s very close to my heart and I’ve continued to be one of their ambassadors, taking part in events to raise funds & awareness, so I didn’t think anything of it when they asked me to pop in the office today. Little did I know the High Sheriff of Derbyshire was presenting me with an award! It really does mean a lot to me. Thanks Safe and Sound for all that you do, looking forward to working together in the future 🦋

So about last night….Thank you @bafta for a cracking evening at the Gala dinner, raising funds to enable BAFTA’s work supporting young people building careers in film, tv & games ✨
