We’re one month out from the biggest race of the year, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.
If @janetforjustice wins, we rescind an 1849 abortion ban that currently stands today as law. Let’s show Judge Janet some support and get our friends in WI ready to vote on April 4th!!

I stand with the #TennesseeThree. By standing up to the gun industry and its allies, they’re inspiring people across the country to get off the sidelines and #EndGunViolence. Rep Gloria Johnson, Rep Justin Pearson, and Rep Justin Jones, thank you for your courage.
I am including their photos in a second slide, because the racism of only expelling the black lawmakers and not the white one does not go unnoticed by me in this abhorrent and anti-democratic act.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of bossa nova singer Astrud Gilberto.
One of the most important figures of the bossa nova movement, she entered show business in 1963 through her husband at the time, guitarist and composer João Gilberto. They worked with Antonio Carlos Jobim on developing bossa nova, a musical style that combined Brazilian samba rhythms and jazz.
The sound interested American jazz musician Stan Getz, who invited the two men to record with him. One of the tracks, “The Girl from Ipanema,” required a vocalist who could sing in English. Astrud, musically inexperienced but conversant in Portuguese and English, tried the lyrics, and her soft, even voice and low-key style fit the song. “The Girl From Ipanema” earned a 1964 Grammy Award as record of the year, and Getz/Gilberto was honored as best album.
Rest in power, Ms. Gilberto, Your legacy will live on forever!
Here, she is performing “The Girl From Ipanema” with the Stan Getz Quartet live in 1964.

President @joebiden played politics with our planet and our future. Shame on him. And this fight is not over. See you in court @potus.
Press release from the #StopWillow coalition:
“Today the Biden administration approved ConocoPhillips’ Willow project in the western Arctic of Alaska, locking in oil and gas drilling and massive greenhouse gas emissions for decades. The decision undermines Biden’s climate promises and again demonstrates how political and industry interests put “business as usual” before the health of people and the planet.
Authorization of the project comes after a deficient supplemental environmental review process that failed to assess the intense and cumulative impacts of the project on Arctic communities, lands and water, wildlife, and the global climate. The harm to communities and climate will be massive as the project turns into the industrial hub ConocoPhillips has always sought.
Overwhelming public and scientific input has demonstrated that Willow poses a serious threat to the Arctic region. Willow will pollute water and air, disrupt animal migrations, destroy habitat, and result in the release of around 239 million metric tons of greenhouse gasses over the project’s 30-year lifespan. The resulting infrastructure is expected to result in additional development that would magnify Willow’s negative environmental impacts.
If built, Willow will be the largest new oil extraction project on federal lands in the United States. It will have devastating impacts to the entire western Arctic region, posing serious health, environmental, and food security threats to nearby Alaska Native communities.
Today, the Biden administration bowed to industry and political power rather than prioritizing land protections, Indigenous communities, and meaningful climate action and leadership.”

I’m urging @potus to reverse course on the proposed “asylum ban.” And for Congress to do the important work of creating an immigration system that keeps our promises to accept people seeking asylum and facilities it as an orderly, timely, and humane process. Share our open letter to show your support for asylum seekers today. Read the full letter at rescue.org/asylumban
