Piper Perabo Instagram – On Tuesday, June 6th, I will join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Refugee Advocacy Lab to give the keynote remarks for their annual summit, “States Lay the Foundation.” The virtual event will celebrate and share a roadmap of policy successes that ensure refugees and immigrants are welcomed and included into their new communities. Discussions will feature bipartisan state legislators from across the country including Virginia Senator Ghazala Hashmi, Arizona Senator Steve Kaiser, Utah Representative Jordan Teuscher, Delaware Senator Darius Brown, Kentucky Representative Nima Kulkarni, Vermont Representative Logan Nicoll, Illinois Senator Karina Villa, and New York Assemblyman Nader Sayegh.
