Thank you so much to Tiny Desk for having me on their show, Top Shelf. There were so many amazing artists and it was hard to choose any favorites but I hope you all enjoy the ones I was able to shine a light on. I was deeply moved in different ways and so much heart and soul was put into these songs x.
Thankful for the platform that Tiny Desk provides to help elevate artists and their creativity. It is so surreal to look back on both of my appearances performing behind the desk and see how far we’ve come …

I had such an amazing time working with the thoughtful team at @flauntmagazine. Their hearts are in it for the art which is such a rare thing. So much care was put into the choice of clothing and lighting and questions … so happy to share with you what we created together

The idea of past lives, who I used to be, what I could have been, people I lost touch with, parts of myself I lost along the way… is a beautiful, intangible, relatable concept that Celine Song so gracefully explores in her story, Past Lives. With deep longing and compassion, Celine revisits past, present, future selves… lives. When asked to contribute a song to the end title of this extraordinary, evocative @a24 production, I reached out to my friend and collaborator @zachary_dawes. We have a natural bond making cinematic, timeless songs together. “Quiet Eyes”, which we named the track, was our attempt at embodying the innocence of youth, mourning of loss, and acceptance of the present. Memories. Love. Friendship. I cannot wait for you to watch Past Lives. Prepare to be moved in places you forgot were there. Thank you Celine Song and A24 for bringing Zach and I along for the ride. You make such important work.

It was such an honor to be asked to write the original song, “Quiet Eyes”, with @zachary_dawes for @a24’s Past Lives … the film is so moving and I can’t wait for you all to see it! A big shoutout to Celine Song @helloellephanta for her writing and direction, the entire cast (Greta Lee, @teoyoo, @john.magaro) for such beautiful performances, and @grizzlybear (@crbear, @drrossen) for creating the perfect score to carry the audience through the film.
The single and music video for “Quiet Eyes”, the song I wrote for A24’s new film “Past Lives,” is officially out! A special heart-felt thank you to Celine Song for creating it. Watch and listen at the link in bio. I connected with the artistry of the film, which inspired this song. I hope you all connect to the song the same way … X

Season 1 of @yellowjackets floored me last year. My band and I were obsessed while we were rehearsing for our first tour of 2022. I loved the story and relationships so much that I played a Juliette Lewis monologue from the show during my walk on stage most nights. It came from when she was in group therapy talking about finding her “purpose.” To say I am honored to have my song, Seventeen, opening up season 2 would be an understatement! I love this story, I love these women, and I support the show so much that we made some fun limited edition Yellowjackets-themed socks for 17. We also have #Tramp11 tshirts available at Shazza’s online store now! Link in bio. #Seventeen #yellowjackets
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m so excited to finally be releasing This Is Too Right with special guest Jenn Wasner (@flockofdimes) … #Tramp11 is out Friday . X

I was a fan of @jose.gonz.music before I had the opportunity to tour with Junip in 2010. I was lucky enough to get to sing with him on stage all those years ago. I was able to witness José and his band go so quickly from sweet and sentimental to direct and piercing through their performances, not to mention how José’s guitar playing and songwriting deliver this specific gut punch that is unique to he and his band’s production. It was challenging to learn the complicated melody that José wrote and I worked hard to honor his phrasing. It was a welcome reconnection after not having been able to perform with him in some time. A welcomed reunion set to the backdrop of such a beautiful story.

“I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” was written in 1938 by Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Sol Marcus and Eddie Seiler according to Wikipedia. I only knew the version recorded by The Ink Spots. When I was asked to think of a song from the era in which ‘A Small Light’ takes place, I slowly came around to this one. The show on @natgeo tells the true story of Miep Gies, who played a critical role in hiding Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis. Thanks to @disney, @estehaim, @zachary_dawes, @realmichaelimperioli, @russpahl, @janesellisford, @tboneburnettofficial & Michael Harris for having me along to work on this one with you. X
