Honestly, there are very few drivers I have respect for behind the wheel… but @kyleleduc99 is one of them. I had the pleasure of lining up against him in SST a couple times and was always impressed with his speed given the seat time he had in that series… he is a guy you could put in anything and he will make it go fast.
I don’t think I’ve ever even said a word to the man, but we’ve banged doors and dive bombed each other… combined with the respect I have for him, that means I consider him a brother from another mother…
Kyle was recently diagnosed with stage 4 head and throat cancer.
I don’t know why out of all the bad news there is in this world, this news effected me so much… but it has. Probably because our age is so similar, he has a beautiful family, and because his persona seemed so invincible at the track.
Ultimately Kyle is a man that refuses to ask for help, which makes me respect him more. But his dad kicked him under the bus and let the world know he does need financial help for the long road ahead.
They have made a bunch of gear to show support, please consider helping out https://www.99duc.com/

Last year I went to France and entered @mountainofhell_official for my first MTB race… I qualifying 331 out of 1000 and had arguably one of the best vacations of my life…
In a little over a week I go back to test fate again… last year I was in the worst shape of my life and honestly scared of covid effects, strokes etc. I had heard all the drama, and since I have kids… that was a big one to be wrong about, so I took it easy on the cardio.
I feel I am in much better shape and willing to send it this year, hoping for a 250ish qual
You only live once people, I had been watching these videos for years and wanted to try this event because it is a mass start and one of the longest DH/enduro races there are… (normally MTB races are one person on track at a time)
Everyone thought I was nuts, including my friend and rider for Specialized @marshallmullen,I think it took him 2 weeks to realize I was serious…
Sometimes you just gotta say fuck it and send it… this time definitely paid off
Time to roll the dice again…
If any other Americans are going, I’d love to meet up and have a beer…

Happy birthday to this stud! Love you a ton my man, can’t wait to go ride again…
Posted my qualifying run from @mountainofhell_official … ended up 288 out of 750, even with getting taken out… click the link in bio if you want to see the full run.
Bodhi been getting better and better… yesterday, it became official, his tires left the earth, he soared with the birds momentarily… he started hitting the jumps.
Proud father son day…
On another note, the other day he came to me and said “my head is now as big as yours”
I responded “no it’s not” (I have an abnormally big head, big enough i get made fun of by friends)
He took his hat off and put it on my head, it fit perfectly. He then said “see I now wear my hat on 2 also” (2dots on the adjuster)
I figured he just wore it on 2 too “be like dad”… nope, I then checked the hat on his head…perfect fit…
I was, and still am, in complete shock…
For perspective, he turned 7 a week ago and now wears a men’s XL helmet 😲
Kids in Idaho are different from LA…
Bodhi and I got to go rip his new bike… dude is so stoked… then we went and float the river, was a good day!
