Cormac McCarthy touched me in a way no other writer came close to doing. The section in The Crossing written from the wolf’s point of view! That alone puts him in the pantheon of greatest evers. With all the bleakness and terror, I always came away from his books with a deeper yearning to be my best, with more hope for humanity. So grateful to have gotten a wild double dose of him this past year before he left us. Cormac forever ever ever.

I love this show Painting With John. I love it and I love my friend John Lurie. He has been a one of a kind creative light for many a moon, glowing in his strange, smart and mysterious way. The third season of this show premieres on June 2nd on HBOMAX. I am humbled and honored to join John for one of the episodes this season, and crazy shit happens to us. Holy fuk. I highly recommend.
