Goodbye and RIP to the legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy. It was an honor to meet him this past May and tell him how much Batman: the animated series meant to me as a kid. He couldn’t have been nicer about my fan-boying and after what was a long day of autographs and photos he was glad to take one more pic with a fan. Godspeed sir, you will always be my Batman/Bruce Wayne.
I had 2 signs that I was living with type 1 diabetes. Excessive thirst and rapid weight loss. There was not enough water on the planet to quench my thirst and I was withering into a shell of my former self. Something was definitely wrong but I was living in denial and over time other signs and symptoms began to appear. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed and began insulin did we realize how ill I had been and how lucky I was.
I’m sharing this because November 14th is #worlddiabetesday and in order to #seethesigns you have to know the signs.
•Excessive thirst
•Frequent urination
•Unexplained weight loss
•Exhaustion
•Blurry vision
Thanks @beyondtype1 and to countless others sharing their stories of undiagnosed #T1D so that someone can #seethesigns before it’s too late.

At this point I was being held together by rolls of tape and the will to be a champion. The body and the tape broke but the will lives on.
Happy Birthday dear friend @adamcolepro
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads throughout time and space from me and Janie and probably Ms Rachel

Getting some iron neck work in with the mad scientist @unconventional_strength. I’ve got a long climb back on the mountain but I’m grateful for a team of tremendous people that are helping me up the path. @breadyfit @thediabeticfighter @sammy__rider @unconventional_strength
Also thanks to @eversensecgm for the accuracy in helping keep my glucose control dialed in during these last 5 months, and I’ve still got another month until I need to change the sensor!
I’m fighting every day to get back into that ring. I appreciate the support and love from everyone helping to will my spirit. I hear you all!
New year, new me. I hate how cheesy and cliche that sounds but in the case of Kyle O’Reilly and 2023 it rings very true. Dealing with a post-surgical issue (that I will disclose at a later date) has caused me a lot of frustration and I’ve spent the last few months of ‘22 with anger and confusion. In order for me to return to the ring I simply cannot come back as good as I was. I have to become better in every aspect of my athletic wellness. I have to train better, eat smarter and recover with intention.
Many of you are aware of my battle with type-1 diabetes and that also puts me at a disadvantage in terms of healing and recovery. Thankfully working with @thediabeticfighter has inspired me to regain control of my life and to finally hop off the blood sugar roller coaster. I cannot recommend this man’s services enough, in 6 days alone I’m spending more time in my target range than I have in months.
And of course I couldn’t pull it off without my trusty @eversensecgm. It’s astonishing how consistently accurate this device is and has been my tag-team partner for almost 5 years. If the transmitter falls off during physical therapy or when I walk into a door frame I can just stick it back on.
I haven’t spoken much about my injury and the mental struggles I’ve faced but I’m realizing how therapeutic it is to just write this down. Our words have so much power even if you’re just thinking them or writing them down. So a “new me” is a necessity to ensure that I will once again have the honor and privilege of walking down that ramp and stepping through those ropes. Expect more from me as the months go on and witness a glimpse into how I rebuild and retrain myself for a return that I can’t wait for you all to see.

6 months post surgery and I’m finally able to push and pull a heavy ass sled again.
Thanks @unconventionalstrength for the program design and for pushing me to get better every day.
Thanks @diabeticfighter for the nutrition counseling and helping me dial in my glucose numbers.
Thanks to @eversensecgm for helping me see those numbers in real time with incredible accuracy.
The sun was bright, the air was fresh, and the ocean oh so very cold. Beautiful British Columbia was a much needed vacation full of hiking, paddle boarding, and kayaking; the @eversensecgm had my back the whole time. Traveling with Type 1 can be especially challenging but I’m able to stay in a comfortable range using tech that I trust, making an active lifestyle much simpler.
