Rahul Bose Instagram – In Jalpaiguri at the Saraswatipur Tea Estate. 14 national players have come from three tiny villages on the Estate thanks to the exemplary work done by @khelorugby @futurehopeindia @junglecrows . I spent half a day there meeting the parents of all our players. These are Pokchi and Shyam Rai, Sandhya’s parents. Tea garden workers and running small local businesses. The world of international rugby could not be further away from theirs. But it has never stopped them from being solid pillars in her success. You don’t need (academic) education to have wisdom, generosity, courage and grace. Shyam and Pokchi are testament to that. I have invited them to Kolkata for the National Women’s camp which Sandhya will be attending. I hope they come. @rugbyindia
