of a human in pain
Beckett’s thing-
you can keep adding to
all your life
like a habit
not a good one.

Ideas as successors
to grief
Proust’s thing-
and griefs
changing into ideas
losing power to hurt the heart.

Creating and expressing
because my emotions
are bigger than myself
so I release it.

Writing allows me
to handle the anxiety
of uncertainty –
of not knowing
what will happen next.
