@outfest 🥹 I’m speechless. Thank you ✨ • Never could have imagined that when @rye_nordin told me he wanted to make a film about my life it would turn into this. We filmed this during one of the strangest years of my life so much good and so much bad all simultaneously unraveling at hyper speed. Thank you Ryan for allowing me to pour it all into this short film. Thank you for hearing my voice without the music. 🤍

In honor of Pride, we spoke to LA-based Member and musical artist @VINCINT about where the community should be focusing this year, markers of success, and what he rebels against. – “Inside the community, I think we should definitely be focusing on obviously our trans community and our non-binary people and making sure that they feel as though they’re not alone, and they’re not being abandoned,” says VINCINT. He adds that inclusion and visibility is essential as well. “I think making everyone feel as though they are strong and included only pushes us further into where we need to be as a whole.” How does the singer-songwriter define success? “Success for me is paying my mama’s rent, paying my rent, and being able to treat the people in my life well with my accomplishments and the things that I have earned,” he says. What about rebellion? – What does VINCINT rebel against? “I rebel against status quo and what I feel as though is normal when it comes to femininity and masculinity and I rebel against social media every day of my life,” he explains. “I’m such a rebel when it comes to owning what you are and what makes you happy and taking no prisoners when it comes to being proud of that.”
