Years before we had our children we got our Yoshi Bear. Our fur baby. Scott wanted a staffy and I wanted a groodle and we got a groodle. It took Scott one day to fall in love with her like I. Her love of water, jumping and running crazy hot laps came second to the love she had for us. When the kids came along she taught them how to be gentle with animals through how patient and soft she always was with them.
The worst part about owning a dog is having to say goodbye, and that goodbye always feels far too soon and is unbearably hard.
It’s not simply losing “ a dog” it’s losing a beloved member of the family and there has been so many tears in our house.
She was so happy to have a new puppy in the house it gave her a new lease on life for a week before her body said no more. It’s like she settled in Zeus for us knowing we needed a transition dog. Thanks for being the most loyal sweet dog a family could ask for. To the rainbow bridge our Yoshi girl

The best thing about shoulder surgery was being on extra strong pain killers and making the impulsive decision to get a new family member. Thank you @seedsman17 for having a big heart and not getting mad that I didn’t consult you about getting another dog. Our 15 year old Yoshi 🐩 girl loves having a puppy!!! (Thank goodness) It’s adorable. Thank you @iris_oodles This family has a lot of love to give Zeus ❤️ 🐶

Post shoulder surgery has not been fun!!! I know why I’ve been putting it off for so long and while I’ve given up on being able to do some things one handed I didn’t want to give up on getting the right nutrition while I’m healing. This is what it’s like to try and walk in a straight line with three sons….. and confirmation it’s always the youngest who is the trouble maker
So many emotions about our youngest starting school next year. He is super excited but he just doesn’t seem old enough because he has always been our baby! I stress myself out over the kids education – they are all so different and it’s never that I want them to be academics, it’s just I want them to be confident at school. I wasn’t! I struggled big time. I was diagnosed in year 2 with dyslexia and then ADHD and there wasn’t much help back then. I still get tears thinking about reading a book out loud in class and how I would count the people in front of me to see what I would be reading when it was my turn and try to practise. I just never want that feeling for my boys. We started @kumonaustralia_newzealand a little time ago to help with maths and reading and they study at the level most appropriate for them irrespective of age or school year. The best bit….. there’s been zero complaints so far. Koa has been loving it the most and I’ve seen his confidence grow… before long he will be joining in with “ya mum jokes” 😂
