I recently had the pleasure of staying at @chanoud.garh and it was such a delightful experience. It’s a stunning and a peaceful place situated in the Pali district of Rajasthan ( two hours from Jodhpur) in a small village called Chanoud. The hotel is run by the lovely family who took care of us like we were their own, always making us feel at home and feeding us food that I can still taste in my mouth. It was so so good !
I loved that there were no tv’s in the rooms which was a welcome change. We were encouraged to spend time outdoors, indulge in a cooking class or simply go for a village walk and explore the rural way of life in Rajasthan.
This place is truly a hidden gem that needs to be discovered.
If you’re tired of the usual touristy places and looking for something unique, Chanoud Garh Palace Hotel is where you should be headed. It’s a place where you can slow down, disconnect and yet enjoy all the modern amenities available to you at the hotel. @chanoud.garh

Almond cardamom cake !
Treat your taste buds to something special with this quick and easy almond cardamom cake recipe – moist, flavourful and perfect for any occasion !!
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180 C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour( one cup) almond flour ( one big tablespoon) baking powder, baking soda, lemon zest and cardamom. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter/ oil and granulated sugar ( one cup) until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the batter to the dry ingredients & mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
6. Fold in some crushed almonds
7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to another platter.
