Kerala themed Engagement (5/5) 💕✨
After that breathtaking lehenga, it was time to change for “Ring Exchange” 💍 and we had no heart to change the mood board and color palette for the second outfit! But wanted a quick changeover and went for this pleasantly beautiful gold saree that had a blush pink border adorned with motifs of the tree of life from @muhurth.brand ❤️ We looked into 50+ sarees from multiple brands but my heart said “Go for this” RVP approved too! 🫶🏼
The saree by itself was a beauty and just to add some grace to it we went on to experiment with blouse designs. That’s exactly when @d.sign.d came in and gave us a lot of ideas & finally our choice was this blouse with intricate embroidery that added a hint of simplicity, sophistication and tradition to the overall look❤️

Our pro stylist @artra_styling suggested to go for a bright temple look jewelery with bright red stones and emeralds to amp up the saree and I abided by it only to find the perfectly looking set from @vriksham that definitely added the touch of gorgeousness. ✨
Oh yes, for my groom! 🫶🏼 Raja wanted the changeover for the ring exchange to be simple. He preferred a “Veshti” and our stylish gave us the choice of pairing it with a Kurta in the same golden shade.
As always, his silk veshti and his silk fabric for the kurta were picked from Nalli!
We took it all to our Malar Akka @fiorebymalar_ and she made the kurta that looked so good on him! 🥺🫶🏼
Like I said he wanted minimal dress up and just went ahead with his chain and bracelet only!
I must admit it all fell in place so beautifully for both of us and we got lucky to figure out the finest people around us to ensure everything fell in place and our day was indeed filled with love and love only! 🫶🏼💕

The moment we decided to have our Engagement depicting Kerala, we were sure to have our outfits reflecting their culture in a unique way that would speak D & RVP.
Stylist pavi @artra1210 to our rescue and she quickly narrowed down to the mood boards of Ravivarman paintings.
That was it!
The next morning we found ourselves at @nallisilksarees since it is an emotion in Chennai, a brand that is known for hand woven silks with the authenticity and quality.
I think all of us would have brought something from Nalli during our childhood. La ? 🥹
Shopping for fabrics was so joyful & in no time our eyes fell on a pure hand-woven brocade silk fabric. I turned towards for her approval and she came up with something so thoughtful. She said we can use this same fabric for my lehenga and Raja’s jacket. 🫶🏼 I fell for it! ❤️
Next up was scouting a fabric for my top and we found a beautiful pink!
Our forever favourite @fiorebymalar_ worked along with our Pavi for days together for this outfit that I dreamt myself in everyday until the big day. It was a sure head turner for me as well when I had the first look at the whole outfit. Don’t you feel the same? 🥰
While Raja wanted his outfit to be subtle & minimal we went on shop a nice Kurta set from @myntra and paired it along with the jacket designed by Pavi (@artra1210 ) and made by Malar akka. ( @fiorebymalar_ )

Traveled 2500km to sweep him off his feet. :’) 🫶🏼 #OruKuttyStory
After our engagement, he went on a 15-day trip with his friends, and that separation seemed different during that phase. So I traveled all the way to surprise him on the last day of his vacation in Agra. :’)
As an ardent Vaaranam Aayiram movie fan, I’ve always loved the fairytale of Suriya and Meghna, but my heart knew he had always admired the beautiful relationship between Suriya and Priya. So I decided to give him a “Ennakaga vantha avlo thooram” moment, making him feel like the main character of my whole life. 😚

03.02.2023 – A day that will always be cherished with some fine moments that will be etched in our hearts for eternity. From the moment our parents brimmed with joy during the rituals to when our bridesmaids and groomsmen cheered us with so much laughter to moments before the groom’s entry and the moment when my best friend and my little brothers held the kodai and panthal for us and to Dakshay’s and popsie’s charming cute entry to welcome us- I must admit god was enormously kind to bless us the way it was! 🧿
We wanted an intimate engagement with our closest circle of friends and family and it turned out exactly the way we prayed & hoped for.
D hosting the first biggest event of her life and how not to colour code the entire event? 🙈When we put the invites to our people mentioning the colour code we were a tad bit unsure if people would actually give heed to it! Ahh I was moved on the day to see every single person walking in wearing white/beige! 🥹🤍
And then there was something else that made the day more memorable! Yes the venue! RBI Quarters, Besant Nagar-
The same place where I was born & brought up. The place holds a tonnes of memories in my heart, a lot of good ones and a few traumatic ones that overshadowed the good ones. (If you know D, you know what trauma i get reminded of whenever I cross that place ) From when the engagement talks were on, Raja was the one who pushed me to fix on this venue & said “Inimey nee cross panra apo. Indha nalla memory varattum” 🥹 That was it. One of the best decisions of our engagement! 🤞
Throughout the day there were so many beautiful moments & we were a lil unsure if 100 people can be happy throughout an event but we witnessed it live that they can.
A part of the hall was filled with my friends and family jamming and dancing to our fav songs, the other part with my bridesmaids looking at me with love, the other part with people having food and the other part with my friends taking selfies.
That day! Looking back at it makes me teary eyed. A whole day of joy, fun, happiness & laughter! 🫶🏼

D hosting the first biggest event of her life and how not to colour code the entire event? 🙈When we put the invites to our people mentioning the colour code we were a tad bit unsure if people would actually give heed to it! Ahh I was moved on the day to see every single person walking in wearing white/beige! 🥹🤍
And then there was something else that made the day more memorable! Yes the venue! RBI Quarters, Besant Nagar-
The same place where I was born & brought up. The place holds a tonnes of memories in my heart, a lot of good ones and a few traumatic ones that overshadowed the good ones. (If you know D, you know what trauma i get reminded of whenever I cross that place ) From when the engagement talks were on, Raja was the one who pushed me to fix on this venue & said “Inimey nee cross panra apo. Indha nalla memory varattum” 🥹 That was it. One of the best decisions of our engagement! 🤞
Throughout the day there were so many beautiful moments & we were a lil unsure if 100 people can be happy throughout an event but we witnessed it live that they can.
A part of the hall was filled with my friends and family jamming and dancing to our fav songs, the other part with my bridesmaids looking at me with love, the other part with people having food and the other part with my friends taking selfies.
That day! Looking back at it makes me teary eyed. A whole day of joy, fun, happiness & laughter! 🫶🏼

The first outfit I wore for this special occasion was nothing short of magical. It was a breathtaking lehenga with a panelled skirt and a stunning hand-embroidered crop top. My stylist @artra1210 wanted it to be both traditional and modern, so I can reuse it forever 😅 . @fiorebymalar_ Akka spent days working on the crop top and made sure it looked royal as well. 🥹 Everyone loved how the top and skirt complemented each other and blended with the Kerala theme.

As it was getting late for the ceremony, @artra1210 instantly got an idea to snatch a dupatta from one of my bridesmaids. 😂 And she legit styled it in a way it matched my whole outfit! -(This is why you need a wedding stylist brooo ❤️)

We wanted both pieces of the outfit to be staple pieces so that they could be styled in different ways in the future and still look like a complete outfit even without the dupatta & I think we achieved the goal.
For the jewellery styling, we were initially confused. But, the pro @artra1210 was so confident and decided to go for jewels that matched the crop top’s colour. The beautiful outfit became even more stunning with the matching choker, head Tikka, and bangles from @rimliboutique ❤️
The outfit, makeup by @kabooki_mua , jewellery by @rimliboutique and decor by @tharunam.in came together beautifully, and with the vibrant smiles of our friends and family, it felt like a royal engagement. A stylist and a new friend @artra1210 who effortlessly turned my engagement into a fairytale with her magical touch! ❤️
She started working her magic from the moment we shared our vision of a Kerala-based theme. She took in all our requirements and ensured that our outfits reflected tradition in the most unique and stunning way possible. She suggested so many brilliant ideas and put so much effort into each outfit. From sketching intricate designs to sourcing the perfect fabrics to handpicking the perfect accessories, Pavi’s work had no bounds, and we were in awe of the love and passion she had for her work.
When we were planning for the second outfit for the engagement, she suggested going for the same mood board and colour palette and we chose a beautiful gold saree with a blush pink border adorned with motifs of the tree of life from @muhurth.brand ❤️ and a super cute close neck blouse with intricate embroidery designs from @d.sign.d ❤️and we totally loved how the blouse complemented the whole look of the saree effortlessly. For the jewels, we decided to go for a bright temple look jewellery with bright red stones and emeralds to amp up the gold and pink of the saree. We found the perfect set from @vriksham and went for it with no second thoughts.
After getting ready when I looked at myself in the mirror, I felt like a royal princess and my heart danced with joy! Every detail was just perfect, and I couldn’t believe how beautifully Pavi had brought our vision to life.

The magician behind my magical engagement look 💕 @kabooki_mua 🌙 [ #WeddingLookBook (4/5) ]
If you know ‘D’ well, you know I’ve worked with Kaboo Akka twice and she is more than a makeup artist to me. She is more like a sister, a friend and someone with whom I share a bond that goes beyond the ordinary. Whenever you work with her, she gives a sense of comfort and trust to all her muse and that is something she does through her genuine kindness and her ability to connect with people on a level that goes beyond just makeup. 🤍
So when my engagement looks were finalized by the stylist, I knew I want @kabooki_mua akka to do my makeup on my special day and I wholeheartedly wanted her to put the pillaiyar suzhi for all my wedding looks. That is how much of a lucky charm she is and how much she means to me personally. When the day arrived, all I did was sit and enjoy the whole process with and around her, because the pro knows what and how I want my look to be.
During our engagement, my skin was under treatment and was in a very bad state (you can see it in the first frame) but she handled it so well and gave me a minimal yet magical look just like how I love it. After all smiles, laughter and magic by her, as I stood before the mirror, my heart swelled with joy. Kaboo Akka had once again worked her magic, and I felt like the most beautiful version of myself. She made my special day even more special with her magic and I felt like a true princess in both of my looks. Among all the wedding looks, both my engagement looks are my personal favourites and all the credit goes to the magician herself.
And when I call her magician, I truly mean it from my heart. And I’m sure everyone of you would agree to it. Don’t you guys? 😍

I turned towards for her approval and she came up with something so thoughtful. Our forever favourite @fiorebymalar_ worked along with our Pavi for days together for this outfit that I dreamt myself in everyday until the big day.
