Deepika Venkatachalam Instagram – Giving our “Engagement Series” a quick end with an absolutely meaningful PHOTO DUMP! 💕 03.02.2023 – A day that will always be cherished with some fine moments that will be etched in our hearts for eternity. From the moment our parents brimmed with joy during the rituals to when our bridesmaids and groomsmen cheered us with so much laughter to moments before the groom’s entry and the moment when my best friend and my little brothers held the kodai and panthal for us and to Dakshay’s and popsie’s charming cute entry to welcome us- I must admit god was enormously kind to bless us the way it was! 🧿 We wanted an intimate engagement with our closest circle of friends and family and it turned out exactly the way we prayed & hoped for. D hosting the first biggest event of her life and how not to colour code the entire event? 🙈When we put the invites to our people mentioning the colour code we were a tad bit unsure if people would actually give heed to it! Ahh I was moved on the day to see every single person walking in wearing white/beige! 🥹🤍 And then there was something else that made the day more memorable! Yes the venue! RBI Quarters, Besant Nagar- The same place where I was born & brought up. The place holds a tonnes of memories in my heart, a lot of good ones and a few traumatic ones that overshadowed the good ones. (If you know D, you know what trauma i get reminded of whenever I cross that place ) From when the engagement talks were on, Raja was the one who pushed me to fix on this venue & said “Inimey nee cross panra apo. Indha nalla memory varattum” 🥹 That was it. One of the best decisions of our engagement! 🤞 Throughout the day there were so many beautiful moments & we were a lil unsure if 100 people can be happy throughout an event but we witnessed it live that they can. A part of the hall was filled with my friends and family jamming and dancing to our fav songs, the other part with my bridesmaids looking at me with love, the other part with people having food and the other part with my friends taking selfies. That day! Looking back at it makes me teary eyed. A whole day of joy, fun, happiness & laughter! 🫶🏼 . #RnD .
Deepika Venkatachalam Instagram – #Weddinglookbook Kerala themed Engagement (5/5) 💕✨ After that breathtaking lehenga, it was time to change for “Ring Exchange” 💍 and we had no heart to change the mood board and color palette for the second outfit! But wanted a quick changeover and went for this pleasantly beautiful gold saree that had a blush pink border adorned with motifs of the tree of life from @muhurth.brand ❤️ We looked into 50+ sarees from multiple brands but my heart said “Go for this” RVP approved too! 🫶🏼 The saree by itself was a beauty and just to add some grace to it we went on to experiment with blouse designs. That’s exactly when @d.sign.d came in and gave us a lot of ideas & finally our choice was this blouse with intricate embroidery that added a hint of simplicity, sophistication and tradition to the overall look❤️ Nextuhhhh….Jewelsuhh😌 Our pro stylist @artra_styling suggested to go for a bright temple look jewelery with bright red stones and emeralds to amp up the saree and I abided by it only to find the perfectly looking set from @vriksham that definitely added the touch of gorgeousness. ✨ Oh yes, for my groom! 🫶🏼 Raja wanted the changeover for the ring exchange to be simple. He preferred a “Veshti” and our stylish gave us the choice of pairing it with a Kurta in the same golden shade. As always, his silk veshti and his silk fabric for the kurta were picked from Nalli! We took it all to our Malar Akka @fiorebymalar_ and she made the kurta that looked so good on him! 🥺🫶🏼 Like I said he wanted minimal dress up and just went ahead with his chain and bracelet only!
