Emily Kinney Instagram – I took this picture at a pizza place in Nashville which has since been destroyed by a tornado. A selfie stolen in a brief moment of solitude while my then-boyfriend used the restroom. I don’t know why I felt the need to take the picture, but I remembered thinking the blurry picture was special because it captured exactly how I felt in the moment. I felt like I was disappearing. B or C for Effort is being released tonight. The night I wrote this song, I could begin to feel all the cloudy confusing bits of myself and the world around me start to pull a little sharper focus.
