Broken Shoulder Update!
Let’s start with the good news! I graduated to bands today in therapy, my fracture is healed, I can hold a full cup of coffee in my right hand again.
The “still working on it” news: can’t lift my arm high enough to shave my underarm, still sleeping in the rented recliner, still battling pain cycles.
The “reality setting in” news: Looks like about 6 more months of rehab before I can put my hair in a proper ponytail. Gains are small and slow going. No skiing this winter.
Still love my pebble ice machine and I’ve added back my cold dips which feel amazing. Thanks for all of your encouraging messages. I had no idea the shoulder was this difficult to rehabilitate. Sending love and encouragement to all of my rehabbing buddies out there..we got this! ❤️
Mindy Kaling took this photo of us from the Season 8 episode Spooked and we loved it so much we put it in our book The Office BFFs. My real pregnant belly was delighted to be in that roomy kangaroo costume. @angelakinsey was not as comfortable in her fake belly/cat ensemble. We talk all about this and more in today’s episode on Office Ladies…link in bio! @officeladiespod @earwolf
13 years! Love of my life. @moi_newyork #anniversary
One of my favorite musical theater experiences ever was seeing @joshgroban and @annaleighashford in Sweeney Todd on Broadway this week. The performances, direction, choreography, design…all incredible. Congratulations to the entire ensemble. You can see them perform on the Tonys this Sunday!
We did a double date with @elliekemper and her husband and had to grab a Garden Party Reunion Pic afterwards of course! @sweeneytoddbway
Today on Office Ladies we are breaking down Pam’s Replacement and Dwight is the only person Pam believes is being honest with her. I LOVED this episode! I LOVED being real pregnant on TV. I might have laughed harder while making this episode than any other. A big thank you to @mindykaling and @rainnwilson for sending in audio clips reminiscing about Mike Tibbets and the crotch grab scene. Hope you enjoy the episode! And head over to officeladies.com to submit your questions for our upcoming special episode Dear Office Ladies where we give you advice on your workplace dilemmas. @officeladiespod Link in bio!
I cherish this photo! I got to meet my baking mentor @alchemybread (I guess 2023 is when I finally get to meet all my baking crushes). Yes, I brought my cookbook for her to sign. Yes, I was nervous. Yes, she’s amazing. Yes, learning to bake bread using her cookbook changed my life. That is not hyperbole. Bread making requires focus and patience and it became a kind of spiritual/ritual experience for me that allowed time and space for me to think and reevaluate my goals in life. It all started with her cookbook, a digital scale, a thermometer, flour, water and salt. 🥖❤️
I’m back in the fostering game. Meet George, Martha and Betsy! These little rascals will be ready for adoption in about two weeks. You can put in an application @kittenrescuela They were found outside but are socializing well…George would like to know when the next meal is and he keeps a very tidy litter box, Betsy likes to PLAY ALL THE TIME PLEASE, and Martha is determined to conquer my husband’s slipper. It’s a cuteness overload.
Happy National Kitten Day! I’m fostering these three rascals and they are all available for adoption…just fill out an application @kittenrescuela
First slide: Martha! She’s the smartest of the bunch but also the most shy around people. So she will need a patient and loving human. She was born outside with her litter mates but she is slowly getting used to the comforts of being a house cat. She will curl up and take a nap on your lap and she LOVES to play. We’ve nicknamed her The Lookout because she loves a window seat. This gal is looking to bond with her special person. She’s such a sweet kitty.
Next up: George! We call him The Mayor of Kittentown. This guy decided very early on that pets and snuggles were the best thing ever. He loves to purr and play and eat (he’s always the first and last at the food bowl. Haha.) He also loves kids and was most curious/brave about meeting Sonny (although Sonny shut that meet and greet down pretty quickly.) George walks with a swagger that is so endearing. Maybe it’s just his kitten belly, maybe it’s goofy confidence. He’s a standout kitty.
Last but not Least: Betsy! Aka The Floof. This medium-haired beauty LOVES TO PLAY SERIOUSLY SHE LOVES IT! I’m talking flips and jumps and she might be a good contender for Kitty Cirque du Soleil. She also loves naps on laps and butt scratches. And she loves her sister Martha very much. (Are you looking for two orange gals?) Betsy also has a very loud purr that will melt your heart.

Here we go! Time to take this broken shoulder on vacation. Wish me luck! See you in a few weeks! #vacay
The one, the only, Walter Jr. (aka Josh Groban) is on Office Ladies Podcast today! He’s currently starring on Broadway in Sweeney Todd (still one-upping big bro Andy) but took time out to talk with us about filming the episode Garden Party. Can’t wait for you to hear it! Office Ladies is back this week with an all new episode! We are breaking down Doomsday which includes the Closing Time cold open…one of my favorites! While researching for the podcast we discovered the true meaning of the lyrics and it’s not about a bar! I had this song stuck in my head for a week after we shot this. And I still never actually learned the lyrics. But hey, #pobodysnerfect @officeladiespod
Vacation journal! Two of our favorite things in London were touring the Churchill War Rooms and seeing the show Guys and Dolls. I’m currently reading The Splendid and the Vile about Churchill’s time during WWII. Getting to see the cabinet and map rooms up close was really cool. And, if you are in London and love musical theater you don’t want to miss this amazing immersive production of Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theater.

I couldn’t be happier to be back in a @chilis where it all starts with a marg! 🌶🥳 Birthdays, weekends, lazy days, friendiversaries, they’re all better when they start with a marg from Chili’s, and they’re even better with my BFF @angelakinsey #chilis #marg #bestfriendsday #ad
Today on Office Ladies we are breaking down Season 8 Gettysburg. Andy takes half the office on a tour of Gettysburg. Robert California challenges the folks left behind to find Dunder-Mifflin’s next big idea. Pam is on Senior Spring. We had a lot of fun breaking down this episode. Can’t wait for you to hear it! Dream day getting to meet one of my baking mentors @artisanbryan and chat all about St. Louis style pizza and all things food and baking on his new podcast #theflakybiscuit But wait, there’s more! He also re-created the pizza of my childhood for me during the show…AMAZING. I had the best time. Check it out @flakybiscuitmedia and @iheartpodcast #shondalandaudio
