Liz Trinnear Instagram – Nico Iris Motte 🌸💕 . Born May 9th 2023 ✨ . We’ve been soaking up every moment since her arrival, absorbing the most profound love our hearts could ever imagine! She is the greatest gift we could ever ask for. Re-falling in love with @nathanielmotte all over again as he cares for his two gals and effortlessly steps into the role as best daddy ever. . Liz Trinnear Instagram – One month of Nico and we couldn’t be more in love and in awe of how much she’s grown. Our world has forever changed for the better with her in it. We found out about Nico’s limb difference at our 20 week ultrasound. I will never forget the moment and the way the room was spinning, or the feeling of Nat’s hand squeezing mine. I don’t think anyone can prepare you for a moment like that. Nico’s limb difference results from an unavoidable, undetectable occurrence that happens at around 6 weeks into fetal development where the limb stops growing. After meeting with a team of doctors and medical staff, there is one thing we are sure of – these kids are magical little beings who come into the world and show us their way, with happiness, strength and courage. They excel at “figuring it out.” Bit by bit we told our family and friends about Nico’s arm throughout the rest of our pregnancy. Each person showed us an immense amount of love and support and told us “we can’t wait to meet her” – we felt the same way. I remember texting a friend, “how can I be so proud of someone I haven’t even met yet?” And in all honesty, I have always been and I will always be so proud of her. Every milestone she passes, big or small. Growing up with a “difference” is something I am familiar with. I have Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex, a condition that causes painful blistering of the skin. Thankfully Nico will never have the pain of EB, but she will face some obstacles. My difference taught me to look at the world with a kinder eye – you never know what someone is going through. My dream for Nico is that she never feels one ounce of limitation, and that she chases after anything she wants to do and achieve. One thing is for sure: she will do whatever she sets her mind to. Our Nico has been the special soul we’ve been waiting for for a long time. She’s perfect just the way she is and I cannot wait to watch her take on this world and show us that nothing will ever stop her. 💫🌈💕 #limbdifference #limbdifferenceawareness
