I wish you were dead. Dedicated to a chap named Ron d. Satan
Y The Last Man will be taken off @hulu tomorrow as @disneyplus is pulling it off the… air. The internet. Along with about 75 other titles. It’s pretty devastating for me and all those that put their hearts, blood, sweat, tears and unbelievable talents into it. The character I played, Roxanne, is by far the most complex, thrilling character I’ve ever played, in a series that is so well done. So beautifully written, filmed, edited, don’t get me started on @schallex our production designer and @olgamill our costume designer, literally the most brilliant crew and hot damn, the most extraordinary actors I’ve ever worked with. I’m very sad at the direction our industry seems to be going in. We are human beings sharing our stories as we have done since the Dawn of humans. Those of us who do it professionally, have a deep, almost burning desperation to do what we do. The idea of asking a fucking robot to tell our stories across the board , and the idea that our human likenesses could be used without us actually being on set, embodying characters, for other humans- is so confusing to me. We are our stories. Ahhh. I am so grateful for all the jobs I’ve gotten to do with so many -just overwhelmingly talented brilliant humans, who share from their experiences and heart. I heard once – art is a reflection of society. Of humans experiencing what is is to be humans, in this time. Reflecting on our history and future. There is no reason AI should be coming up with these stories. Are they going to buy a ticket and go see it? Is it so important to get things done THE FASTEST! And the CHEAPEST. And without employing so many humans? And for what? So a few multi gazillionaires can take everything for themselves? Ahhh. Give the writers what they are asking for and what they deserve. Also you have 1 day to watch this show. Do it. You will be blown away. And thank you. I would now like to drink 500 bottles of wine and cry on the couch but I’m sober and stuck dealing with these “feelings”. Ah las. You’re welcome. And thanks @elizaaclarkw for hiring me. That. Was fun.
