For much of my life, New Year’s Eve has been infused with sadness. Watching the ball drop as a ten year old with my brother, while my dad was in the hospital, we knew something terrible was going to happen, and it did five days later when my dad died. I still feel that sadness, that loss on this night, but being able to spend it with my friend Andy, and with all of you who tune in, and going home afterwards to a home where my two boys are asleep in their cribs and will wake up in the morning laughing and joyful…it’s become a very different night for me… and I am grateful. If you feel alone on this night, i hope you know that there are many of us who also feel that way, and you are not alone. I hope you all have a very happy and healthy new year.

Tony Bennett performed for the last time at Radio City Music Hall in 2021 with his friend Lady Gaga. Bennett, who died today, was in the throes of Alzheimer’s disease.

At the end of Tony Bennett’s 2021 performance at Radio City Music Hall, Lady Gaga escorted him off the stage one last time. “Just simply being the woman that got to walk him off stage, that’s enough for me,” said Lady Gaga. Bennett died Friday morning at 96.
Sebastian just celebrated his 1st birthday! He loves listening to an old music box that belonged to my mom. Sebastian is sweet and strong and smart and loves his big brother Wyatt a lot. They fill my heart with joy and love in a way i never imagined possible. Happy Birthday Sebastian!
