A blackbelt is a white belt who never gave up and my instructors at @jriarlington made sure that giving up was never an option for me. Grateful to them and for 11 years of martial arts training!
And speaking of people who have been kind to me since I was very small- here is @lin_manuel ! I ran into him at a show recently. I think I summoned him because i had just been talking about him and then he was there! Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of @hamiltonmusical and I’m grateful for that show, but more than that, I’m grateful for this man. He has always been so welcoming to me, so nice. I will see everything he does always and will admire him forever. I just love it when people make the world a better place!

When I was a tiny boy, my father was in a Broadway show called Sondheim on Sondheim. My mother parked my stroller in the back of the house and I just listened to a rehearsal one day. Maybe that was my first time in a Broadway theatre? Anyway, @vanessawilliamsofficial was starring in the show and this is when I first met her. She was so nice!! She invited us to her beautiful house for an incredible party, and at Halloween she sent me a costume to wear. The day I got it, I was in a MOOD and refused to pose for a picture to show Ms Vanessa how the costume looked. Eventually my mom must have bribed me and we got a decent picture. It was such a wonderful surprise to run into her all these years later- she’s still lovely, still so kind! People always remember how you make them feel, even when they are very small. I might not have been perfectly gracious about the costume gift at the time, but I’ve always remembered how thoughtful she is. ❤️

I’ve loved every single second of this holiday! We film for 8 months (usually July-March) so then when we have a break in filming, I tend to go a little crazy with travel. When we go see new places, we want to see as much as we can so the pace is fast. It’s incredible, and I love it, but it isn’t usually relaxing. This was exactly the holiday that we needed- there was so much to do and see and also, it was perfectly relaxing. I’ll be back, @beachesturksandcaicos !!

Im back!!! Turks and Caicos is one of the most beautiful places on earth! Im delighted to be back at @beachesturksandcaicos for the 4th time! The sand, water and sky are as beautiful as they look. I love it here! #beachesturksandcaicos #beachesresorts
I wanted to post this here as well as stories. I’m such a huge fan of @realmattlucas and got to see him last night. He was in the original production of Taboo in London with my dad- that’s the show I’d go back in time to see if I could. He is so kind and I hope this is the first of many more meetings!
