Celina Jaitly Instagram – Naturhistorisches Museum Wien ( Vienna) Spent an amazing day at @nhmwien the “The Natural History Museum Vienna” founded over 270 years ago, it is a research museum whose origins date back to the imperial collections of the 18th century. The only unpleasant aspect is that it was so hot inside the museum that I almost fainted and even lost my memory I think, forgot to take photographs like I always do… So If you are planning to go in summer please carry a hand fan, cold water, Extra t shirt and a life partner who can give you mouth to mouth resuscitation 🤭. Having said that, the Natural History Museum Vienna is an outstanding example of Viennese architecture in the city’s historicism tradition. It was opened in 1889 as the first true museum of evolution, and both the building and its decor reflect the valuable natural sciences collections they house. It’s a phenomenal experience to witness up-close some of the museum’s collections which comprise of more than 30 million objects from biology, earth sciences, anthropology and archaeology. All in all : I loved it and I recommend a trip to this awesome world heritage site as long as you are armed with electrolytes and a fan….
