It’s fascinating to see who’s placing the blame of these strikes and shutdowns on the workers who are simply and reasonably fighting for their livelihoods and NOT the excessively wealthy studios whose greed, hoarding of revenue, and refusal to compromise their ginormous bonuses is what has led us here. I’ve also been getting questions about why we signed such a bogus contract to begin with and whether or not we should’ve known better. And as always, there is the question of who has it worse in the grand scheme of everything. A lot of people understand that this is about labor protections, but there are many that don’t and/or who are very confused as to why we can’t just bend over, stop whining, and give them their stories. Let these slides highlight some of the reasons. Don’t mind the grammatical typos that I can no longer fix because the edit button is gone and my responses came before coffee. And clear vision.
