I love indonesian tempeh— fermented soy bean— totally addictive! And the plate of sambals, fermented hot sauces , and many different kinds. Some and fresh and more tangy, while others are fishier and very spicy. The coconut curry was silky smooth and full of rich spiced broth. I also loved the rice tray— choose your own type of grains! Such fun. Oh, and the chicken satay was amazing too!! . Sawah Terrace is also rooted in the Balinese philosophy that ‘food is medicine’. Each mouthful is testament to the island’s rich culinary tradition.
