Kalki Koechlin Instagram – With a little help from my crew… About my personal life during the shoot of @goldfishthefilm It was my first film after becoming a mother, my partner couldn’t come as he was working, my nanny didn’t get a visa as Covid rules were strict and I was having to get a nanny locally in London which we had only interviewed on zoom and trying to acclimatise my daughter to her over ten days. It was the night before shoot, it was late, I was exhausted and my daughter was clinging to me like a koala, screaming, refusing to go near ‘Nanny ‘manda’ . I sat her down and said ‘Saf, I really, really want to do this film, it’s my first one in two years, and it means a lot to me. I promise I’ll be here every morning and every night for you, but in the day could you go with Nanny ‘manda?’ She went right to sleep after that and the first thing she said in the morning was ‘Where’s Nanny ‘manda?’🥰 My director, producer and the whole crew worked around my needs, getting the right help, limiting night shoots and providing a safe environment for my daughter while I worked.
