Checked this off my bucket list! Finally got to see the amazing John Williams conduct the @laphil @hollywoodbowl on Friday night! The first half of the program was lead by the great @gustavodudamel, with John coming on for the second half. (Selections from Indiana Jones, the Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List themes and then closing with 3 songs from Star Wars)… After a few encores (like ET), John finally stepped back up on the podium and this happened!!! Halfway through Dudamel came out and surprised us carrying a light saber! Then he handed John a light saber baton and we were all there for it! I love that everyone embraces all of the things we love about these movies! I had no idea when I was younger the impact these soundtracks would have on my life. A few notes can immediately take you back to your childhood or a time and place that held amazing memories…or even not so happy ones. The minute we heard the Superman theme start, we knew we would be picking that as the family movie the next night. We were sharing something from our childhood with our kids…tied in with the music we just heard live in concert. I am all about making memories and sharing experiences together as a family. Thank you Mr. Williams for writing (and continuing to write) the soundtrack of our lives!!! Bonus pictures when you swipe left: We took Kane to his first Hollywood Bowl experience when he was just 4 years old in 2018. We got to watch Star Wars: A New Hope while the LA Phil played along LIVE! That was the first time I’ve ever experienced something like that! And yes, I dressed up as Princess Leia and Kane was my little storm trooper. 🤭🤗🥳

Enjoyed the lake this weekend! Love that our friends Christina and Tony are always up for having these adventures! And YES, it was HOT! It was about 110 all 4 days, and the water was about 85 degrees! #makingmemories Also, thank you @cmorganmusic for the soundtrack!
Spent a day at the beach yesterday to relax and recharge. Soaking up every second while our kids are this age. I even enjoyed being creeped out by the sand fleas they were catching in the sand! 😝🫣 School will be here before we know it…so getting it all in now!
THIS IS HAPPENING!!!!! I’ve been wanting to see the maestro John Williams conduct the @laphil for years and the time has finally come! Tonight, he will be sharing the stage with @gustavodudamel… John’s music has been the soundtrack of my life! Star Wars, ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter…the list goes on and on! As we were walking to our shuttle bus, it was fun to see the latest Indiana Jones movie poster on Hollywood Boulevard along with Steven Spielberg’s star on the Walk of Fame! John Williams is 91 years old. And still composing and making music for all of us. I am so excited to share this night with Chris and our kids!
