She looked wonderful as Yennefer and we had an awesome photo shoot at the beach. And as South Korea is pretty far away from Germany I thought I would never see her again. A massive God needs a massive belt! 💪🏻 Here’s how we made Kratos’ belt armor. This was a ton of work but we really enjoyed all the details! Making elaborate cosplay pieces like this requires a good plan and loads of patience. We had to redo some parts (which you don’t see in the video) and that takes time and energy. What is a Billy Butcher Cosplay without Laser Baby? Exactly. It’s not done. 😄 So I had to build my very own Laser Baby. Adding some LEDs, a battery and a switch was the easy part but then I had to go baby shopping. So I took the doll and went to a baby store. „Well, that didn’t go to plan.“ 🚂😅 – I will never ever forget this shoot! 🤦🏻♂️ ⬇️ When we planned the RDR2 roadtrip, it was absolutely clear that we NEEDED to take a picture with or on a steam train. We went all the way to Durango, Colorado to hop on the „Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad“ which is a historic steamtrain ride with breathtaking views of the Colorado landscape. Well. We might have underestimated the demand for tickets. The guy at the train station told us to come back 6 months later for the next available ride. 🙊 But he said the train crosses a public park close to the station, maybe we’d want to take a pic there. Of course we didn’t! What’s less wild west than a public park?! So, new plan: Tried to find a beautiful spot on Google Maps where the train crosses, a bridge in fact, sneak out there in the early morning and walk along the railroad to get to the spot for a quick photo of my cosplay with the steam train in the background. We googled where to get protective gear against cougars and bears because they have been spottet in these woods before only to realize that it’s illegal to walk on train tracks in the US and can result in heavy fines or even jail time. 😬 Well. We were disappointed and so stressed out by the intense trip and the heat and had a major discussion about what to do now which ended with the realization that it’s too late to catch the train anywhere by now and we canceled the whole idea. Within the next second, we were so massively UNHAPPY with that decision, that I jumped into my cosplay, no makeup and off we RUSHED to that public park in order to get at least SOME kind of picture. The location was SO much better than expected! We quickly applied at least SOME makeup to my arm in order to cover my tattoo but we suddenly heard a loud rumble in the distance… Some of you might remember the reel we posted back then. The train was 15 minutes early and we only had 4 seconds to get into position and take that ONE shot. Well. It turned out amazing.
