Be excited for these 7 things
@gatesfoundation just found out that 7 affordable treatments can save 2 million mothers and babies over the next decade. I mean, this is a big deal. And we need to get these treatments to every mother and child out there!
Happy birthday, @phoebegates! You’ll always be my little girl, but watching you do big things has never surprised me. I’m so proud of you.

Linguist John McWhorter really dislikes the phrase, “it is what it is.” To him, the expression is another way of saying that your problems don’t matter to me. It’s a great example of why language is so intricate and complex—something we discuss on the latest episode of Unconfuse Me.
The lifesaving role of midwives cannot be overstated—and Eva Nangalo is an exemplar in the field. I’m thrilled she could share her incredible knowledge with our Goalkeepers community.
